Chérèque warned the government against "a hard conflict"

"What concerns me greatly is the way the government (...). It increasingly by original texts or by parliamentary amendments. This allows it to bypass unions "Said the secretary general of the CFDT in an interview with Le Monde dated Wednesday.

He believes that the executive is "discards" on parliamentarians, who are not forced to dialogue with unions on topics such as the possibility to retire at 70 years or work on Sunday.

"In doing so, he plays with fire. One day he will wake up with a conflict of the type CPE hard," warns François Chérèque, who deplored the tendency to "individual rights".

The mobilization against the proposed First Employment Contract (CPE) in spring 2006, had attracted millions of people in the streets and led to the political disgrace of the then Prime Minister, Dominique de Villepin, who had seen the text but finally enacted suspended by Jacques Chirac.

Also invited by France 2 Tuesday morning, François Chérèque showed its satisfaction with the progress made in discussions between the management of SNCF and two organizations, the FGAAC (autonomy) and the CFDT, which he illustrated his call for dialogue .

The negotiations focus on a draft decree amending the working conditions of officers conduct their cargo and advanced allowed to postpone three-day strike scheduled from Tuesday midnight.

"If the government takes the elements of this negotiation in a decree, probably waive the railway strike and will be demonstrated at SNCF it is better to negotiate than strike," said the secretary general of the CFDT stressing the "modernity" of the approach.
